  2. Inspect the blister pack; do not use if the seal is broken.
  3. Remove the needle from its pack. Keeping caps on, screw the needle straight onto the pen until snug—do not overtighten.
  4. Remove the outer cap, then the inner cap.
  5. Prime the pen per device instructions (e.g., dial a small amount until a droplet appears).
  6. Set your prescribed dose on the pen.
  7. Inject subcutaneously per best practice (typically at 90° with shorter needles); hold the pen in place for several seconds to ensure full delivery.
  8. Carefully recap with the outer cap only and unscrew the needle.
  9. Dispose of the used needle immediately in an approved sharps container.
